A lovely sentiment from Shakespeare, indeed. However when it comes to staff favourite Lily Rose by Empreinte, we aren’t sure any other name would do. This is truly one of the most loved bras we’ve ever carried! We are thrilled to have received two new colours in Lily Rose. Many of our fitters and customers swear by this gorgeous style, and the new colours are to die for! (but only if in dramatic Romeo & Juliet fashion!) A feminine detail here, a contrasting colour there, this set is unique and distinctive. Best of all it is a fabulous fit that you will want to wear every day.

Pictured above, this lovely style reminds us of Dutch China or a Toile pattern in colour and design. We have it at our Bloor Street location in sizes D-G 32-38. There is also a matching Shorty!

Pictured below, in Chantilly (Ivory), Empreinte’s Lily Rose is a pretty, easy-to-wear everyday colour.

Chantilly, which is cream with a touch of pink, is available at both stores and is available for order as well, which means it will be a basic style for us! We are so happy to add this to our lineup of everyday staples, because it is so pretty and the quality is magnificent! Juliet would be lucky to wear something so pure and pretty. Romeo would be pleased as well…

We have also received Pompadour in black from Simone Perele. Pompadour refers to a hairstyle which is named for Madame de Pompadour (1721-1764), mistress of King Louis XV. Although there are numerous variations of the style for both women and men, the basic concept is hair swept upwards from the face and worn high over the forehead, and sometimes upswept around the sides and back as well.

Simone says this bra was “inspired by the irresistible gourmet of Paris. Pompadour delights the senses with its alluring style. A tasteful floral canvas of delectable embroidery and scalloped guipure enhance this irresistible collection.”

Our winter sale is winding down (there are a few days left, so don’t delay!) and we’re looking ahead at February. When most businesses are encouraging you to think about your New Year’s resolutions, by forcing the back-to-the-gym story down your throat, we’re focussed on our Winter Sale!

But while we enjoy staying away from that message in January, it is an important message, and we focus on it in February, during Heart & Stroke Awareness Month.

Health and fitness are central to your emotional and physical well-being and need to be a part of your lifestyle. We know that many of our customers struggle with a fitness regime because of stress and worry about their bra. It might sound like an excuse to some but those of us (busty, petite, incorrectly sized, sensitive) who have experienced exercising in an ill-fitting bra know — it can be a deal breaker. Beyond the physical limitations, many women just don’t feel comfortable participating in aerobic activity , which is so important, because of the discomfort (either emotional or physical) of our breasts.

A properly fitted sports bra can change the way you feel when working out. Reducing stress and strain, easing discomfort, and generally making you feel as if you can take on the world, are key aspects to a great sports bra. Many customers wear sports bras for more than just sports! If you have an active job or lifestyle, a sports bra may become your every-day bra.

When it comes to strokes and heart disease, physical fitness can literally be a lifesaver. Heart disease and strokes are now the #1 killers of women in Canada, and the best way to help yourself from suffering is to maintain a healthy weight and participate in a healthy lifestyle that includes physical fitness. The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada recommends women incorporate just 30 to 60 minutes of physical activity in each day.

To help encourage you to increase your level of physical activity, or maintain it comfortably, and to support the important work of The Heart and Stroke Foundation, we are proud to present our Heart and Stroke Month Special.
