Spotlight: Simone Perele

Last week we got in this amazing “Nina” bra by Simone Perele, and it is the most glorious fig colour. It really looks fantastic against the skin and is both sexy and discreet – it is almost invisible, with a delicate smooth finish.
Don’t you love that photograph of the bra? When we saw it we thought it looked like a scene from a 60’s mystery film. That might not be a coincedence! Simone Perele says their ‘Nina’ bra is one of a collection that pays tribute to iconic women, past and present, taking inspiration from designers, actresses and artists admired for their boldness and free spirits.
Simone Perele describes the lace design of this bra as “the light delicate lines of a flower…translated to a knit inspired by ancestral Japanese origami”, and they deliver on this while still providing a comfortable fit. Did you know Simone Perele was an actual woman? Simone was a corset maker who established the brand in 1948 as a way of expressing her belief that women should not have to choose between being comfortable and being attractive! An idea we like quite a bit.
We were inspired to put together an outfit inspired by this bra – something we do often! We just find the colour very inspiring. Perfect for fall!
