The Art of Lingerie
Marie Jo L’Aventure has introduced a new line in partnership with Véronique Branquinho. Véronique is a Belgian-born fashion designer who studied at the Flanders institute in Antwerp. She has designed fashion and shoes (notably for Camper) and now has turned her attention to lingerie.
Complete collection pictured above (please note we do not have the long line bra or fully lined version)Véronique found inspiration for this line in the artwork of the old masters, as she explains -
“When I see those women, all these Eves and Venuses, I think they look so beautiful, but I also think they really look like women of today, even if they were painted in the 16th century. We are the same women. That’s what all my inspiration is about: the universal woman of all time. Time changes but the woman looks the same. That was the starting point. Then I began to paint lingerie on this Old Master’s work, to show that the shapes are timeless”
From this collection we have received the plunge (pictured above) in Onyx and Emerald colours, sizes D-E 32-38, as well as the brief in sizes SM-LG, the deep brief in MD-LG as well as the lovely waist cincher (pictured at the top of this post on the centre model) in MD (Emerald Only).
Already fitters favourites, this set is smooth and an easy fit. We love the deep emerald colour, it is classic yet unusual, flattering on many and fun to show off.

We have also received in a new colour of Elomi Cleo. Introduced in Charcoal for Winter 2011, the style has blueberry details.
Available in two styles, the bandless style pictured above comes in the range 34-38 GG-H while the Cleo Side Support style is in 38-42 G, 36-44 GG-H. We have the brief in sizes L-3XL.
Perhaps inspired by a charcoal drawings by Georgia O’Keeffe, this set inspires a cozy fashion palette of cool greys, blues and berry tones that perfectly pair with denim.

I got this news letter in my email and couldn’t read any of the content. It was there, but the colours mixed together made it hard to read without highlighting it.
