We’ve been receiving some fantastic new bodysuits into the shop, and we’re excited to share some of them with you! Our fitter Regan is our fantastic model!

Inspired by the recent bodysuit trend, as seen on Rihanna, Beyonce and GaGa to name a few, Regan has really made the look her own.

Pairing this pretty lacy body suit from Princesse Tam Tam with a sheer blouse and sleek dark denim, she’s shown us that you can take this lingerie staple and dress it down for a casual, yet sexy, day to evening look.

Bodysuits are great for people who want a long and lean appearance, as they tend to camouflage and smooth out problem areas. They provide the look of a tight, tucked in shirt without the bulk of a camisole or blouse. A bodysuit can also transition well from work to a date. Wear a lacey bodysuit with a pencil skirt and a blazer for the day, and ditch the blazer for a gauzy top at night.

Fall in Toronto is always a beautiful season for going out. The smog is gone and the city is buzzing with new university students. People are home from summer vacations and the restaurants and shops are full again. Best of all, catching a great film is never easier! The Toronto International Film Festival has arrived, and we’re ready to party. Are you?

We’re going to venture a guess that the hottest dresses you own are going to be the ones you pull out of the closet. You never know which celebrity you might run into, after all. So you need to look your best! When wearing a great dress, you might want to try Commando thongs or high-waisted knickers. They are the best, most invisible knickers and will work under any garment.

The thong is available in a wide range of hot colours!

But! Let’s say that you’re going to be wearing a stylish high-waisted white skirt. You would want to wear the slightly more Bridget-Jones-esque panty. Just slightly though, because Bridget Jones’ knickers weren’t invisible, smooth (no digging in!) and made of the most gloriously soft microfibre around. These might not be a black lace gstring, but they’ll make your outfit look incredible!

Going out on a Fall evening is great, because you can get away with wearing just about anything you like. If you’re like us, you’ll want to begin to experiment with patterned hosiery, mixing them with mini dresses. You know we’ve got you covered in that department.

Strapless bras or convertible bras are important too. This is our favourite season to wear a black convertible bra with an interesting strap arrangement. A great strapless/convertible helps you stay comfortable and contained while you dance the night away. We are now carrying the AWESOMELY incredible Marie Jo Tom strapless/convertible bra. Great Bras, Better Prices.

At secrets from your sister… we do our best to bring you solutions to bra questions and concerns. Here’s a letter we received from a customer this week, thanking fit-mistress Regan for her help with a bra problem!

Hello! I just wanted to send a thank you to Regan for helping me re-size my bra and make it comfy for my last few months of pregnancy. Just wanted to let her know that the back extender piece has totally fixed the two problems I had – the boning was digging into my right side and the band size felt too small – both problems are fixed now. My friend is a yoga teacher and she told me that during pregnancy, your ribcage will expand in order to make room for the baby – so I bet that after the pregnancy, I won’t even need the back extender anymore; and if I do, it’s no big deal! Thanks so much – I couldn’t wear the bra before at all and now it’s like a whole new piece of lingerie!

 

When pregnant, we do our best to fit you in a bra that will offer you flexibility and comfort over the time you are growing. In this case, Regan was able to help the customer simply by adding a back extender (a small, very affordable addition to the bra) allowing her to lengthen the lifespan of the bra and saving her money while making her comfortable.
