With that in mind, let’s get started with a Vanilla delicacy. New from Prima Donna is a pretty new fashion colour in their staple style Madison.

This delectable hue reminds us of that lovely kind of sun that peeks in through airy drapes on summer afternoons. Even better, it reminds us of ice cream! You’ll do the banana splits over this staff favourite.

New in this style is a matching hotpant that we think Prima Donna Madison fans will adore. (We’re so confident, in fact, that we’ll have the hotpant to match the basic colours of this style very soon!) This bra is available in E30-36, F30-38 and G34-38.

Also following the yellow trend is Chantelle, who have created a lovely yellow version of their ever-popular Rive Gauche t-shirt bra!

It may sound outrageous, but to us this deliciously creamy tone is reminiscent of homemade mac-n-cheese! A true comfort food. We love this soothing golden hue, and as fans of Chantelle Rive Gauche know, this bra feels like butter! We have this bra in sizes A32, B32 and C-F 30-34, and also have the matching shorty and thong.

Speaking of butter against the skin, Simone Pérèle’s Caressence caresses the skin with unique aloe-vera infused fabric combined with hand-made lace! This season they’ve created their Marron Glacé colour. Marron Glacé is a French delicacy made with candied chestnut and sugar syrup.  It truly is the perfect name for this colour!

We have received sizes C 32-36, D-E 30-36 and F 30-34 in this bra as well as the shorty (pictured), bikini and thong.

Have you ever had a seabreeze cocktail? If not try one out: Mix 1 1/2 oz of vodka, 4 oz of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, and 1 1/2 oz of cranberry juice, and pour over ice. As you can imagine (or see, if you’ve taken our sage advice) a seabreeze is a lovely shade of pink!

Most swimwear is available online in small, medium and large sizes. That means for those of use with DD+ cup sizes, we are left with ill-fitting swimsuits and unflattering cuts. We are thrilled to be able to offer Empreinte swimwear and it fits like a dream!

Empriente swimsuits are expertly crafted and designed and are well worth the investment. They will survive seasons of pool use (if properly cared for, of course), offer spectacular support, and are absolutely beautiful as well. Some notes on fitting:

While these suits are fitting with bra sized tops, we’ve already noticed they fit differently than bras and are more able to fit a range of sizes. We have fit women of many DD+ sizes, so if you are in the range of these suits, please come in to try one on, before determining they may not be for you. For example, a 32G fit comfortably into a 34F in a recent swimwear fitting!

Above is Empriente Equilibre in D34, E34 and E36! This delicious vert swimsuit is plunging and foxy with a green palm tree inspiration, in a clean and classic style. You’ll feel like a million dollars in this paired with your oversized floppy hat and sun shades…

This year, rich, diverse, jewel-inspired tones of green are definitely the stand out trend for late fall. It has been a few years since we’ve seen this lovely colour as an option and we are thrilled. It’s classy, it’s flattering and it’s easy to match with a wardrobe.

Shorter days, longer nights, reds, oranges, browns and crisp breezes. Fall has arrived and with it, cardigan season! Cardigans are the perfect layering item that take your summer wardrobe and help extend it through these cooler days until your winter attire is in full rotation.

Wearing a cardigan with layers  is a classic, comfortable and easy every-day look, as well as one you can dress up.

Even if your style is more rock-and-roll pin-up than presidential, the cardigan is a wardrobe staple.

First, meet Yao Xingtong, Chinese actress at TIFF to support Jackie Chan at the premiere of “In Conversation With….Jackie Chan”.

Yao wore a beautiful sheer white dress with beige pasties underneath, which it seems she thought would be invisible on the red carpet. Unfortunately, those flash bulbs are bright, and not only were the pasties revealed, but they weren’t quite doing their job. According to Huffington Post, she noticed half way down the carpet and began to cover up with a stuffed toy.

Our solution? Well there are a few possibilities. 1. Wear nothing at all. Yeah, probably not the solution you’d expect from a bra store but we do think if you choose to wear something this sheer and white that you might as well just go for it. If that isn’t your speed… 2. Wear sparkly pasties like the kind we carry from Bristols6. This way, if they show, it will seem intentional. 3. Wear a beautiful white lacy bra, like the ones we show in this post. It would work great with this beautiful white lace dress. 4. Wear a opaque beige tshirt bra, which would appear almost invisible under this dress.

Here’s a TIFF carpet win, hometown star Rachel McAdams:

Rachel was a knockout in this green number. She is probably wearing a beige strapless bra, as would be the conventional choice for a one-shoulder dress of this design. A slightly more unconventional, though totally exciting choice would be the new Chantelle Rive Gauche in delicious forest green:

The straps are delicate on this style and just a hint of one poking out from this dress would be intriguing. It’s seamless and invisible under tshirts, so it makes a great every day bra as well.  We’ve just received sizes A-B 32-34 and C-F 30-34 in this style, which we have loved in past seasons in the basic colours.

Another brabombination came courtesy of Emma Watson, whose pasties slipped out from under her delicate dress:

Emma’s stylist should have used Stylin’ Tape, which would have held the dress in place to ensure it did not slip to one side and reveal the pastie. Or, as we mentioned above, Emma could have worn a sparkly or lacy pastie, that way if it showed, it wouldn’t have seemed so unintentional. (But honestly, that doesn’t seem like Emma’s style).  Pick up some Stylin’ tape next time you’re in the store. It is double-sided adhesive that magically sticks to your skin when you want it to, and peels off later with no irritation! It’s truly magical, and can be used for all sorts of things, including fixing hems, holding a blouse together when the buttons are tugging, and of course, on orange carpets, to ensure your dress hangs in place…just so.

Reminiscent of blue willow pattern this beautiful blue bra is so pretty you’ll hate putting on clothes over top of it.

Staff favourite Lola is back this fall in an incredible new shade that Empreinte is calling Confetti.

It’s hard to make out in the photo but in person you can see why this pretty dusty rose version of Lola is such a hit with staff. Made with strands in colours ranging from light pink, to dusty rose to caramel, this lovely version of Lola is pretty and feminine. The embroidery is punctuated with polka dots!  If you’ve had this style before you know the fit is spectacular, if you haven’t tried Lola before, we can’t say enough that you really should. Diva

Diva is another popular Empreinte style we’ve carried before, and this Fall, we’re pleased to have  a delicious caramel version in stock. The full cup seamless is available up to an G cup, while the plunge version is up to an F.

Finished with beautiful guipure lace, Diva is so much more than basic.

Rafaela

There are no words. Well, there are some. We are crazy about this bra and knicker! And yes, those are removable garters. swoon.

Like a fairy tale dream come true, Rafaela is completely over-the-top. A beautiful slate grey with honey-mustard embroidery and romantic ruffles, we feel that this range will make you feel like an empowered, modern, princess.  For those of you who prefer a simpler bottom, we also have the thong and and brief.  Sizes available in the balconette are D 34, E 30-36, F 30-38, and G 30-34. In the full cup version we have E 34-36 and F-G 32-38.

There is a saying that we’ve heard that goes something like,

“If you want to forget all your troubles, wear too-tight shoes.”

We’d say the same about bras! Fall styles are arriving and there is no better excuse to have us check your size to ensure the most comfortable, supportive fit, so you can focus your energies elsewhere. Bras should be ideally be fitted once per year, and we are happy to check every purchase you make to ensure the very best fit. But, we digress…what were we talking about?

Oh right: Shoes!

If you look closely at the above bra, you’ll notice a lovely pink stiletto shoe in the cameo-like embroidery on each cup! New this fall, Couture by Simone Pérèle is a lovely grey with tone-on-tone embroidery and cute pink ribbons and pumps as details.

This bra, available in sizes C30, D30-32, E30-34, is fully lined and a demi cup. It gives incredible cleavage, and we have a matching shorty and thong.

Also new from Simone Pérèle is customer-favourite Caressence in a lovely and classic grey blue.

This bra is sexy and practical and is made from a fabric infused with Aloe Vera! Did someone say dream bra? We’ve got sizes C-E 30-38, F 30-34 and also have the thong, panty and extra pretty lace short, pictured above.

Coming back to shoes, we’ve often said that a great fitting bra is like a great pair of shoes. Quality construction and materials are slightly more expensive, but just like a good pair of shoes, a good bra will last you much longer, be more comfortable, be blister-free and if taken care of properly, look great for years!

In this spirit, we created a fall grey, grey-blue and light pink mood board inspired by the above bras, and our love for great shoes.

We are so thrilled to be introducing this brand to Canada, as we’ve had our eyes on her for a while at international trade shows. Timpa is a Dutch brand of lingerie and this bra style is not at all new. In fact, the design is over ten years old, which goes to show its enduring quality and fit! Our search for great bra options for every size is endless, and we are pleased to have this great option in our lineup.

Available in sizes A-C 32-36, Timpa’s Duet range is an ideal bra for the smaller bust, and post-nursing busts that are somewhat softer.  Many AA women will find that this bra suits them as well. Made with a soft stretch lace, that is completely invisible under clothes, this is one of those dream bras that is perfectly sexy while being perfectly comfortable. It was voted best petite bra by the New York Times in 2010!

Some have called this the a supermodel bra, as it’s been seen on Kate Moss and Agyness Deyn! Available with a matching pantie and thong, Timpa Duet is going to be stocked in Black and Beige.  The style is a very low-cut demi cup and it is very flattering, and works well under low cut tops!

Panache’s Andorra range has become a fast favourite. It’s available in a wide range of sizes and comes in both a full cup and plunge style. Though lacy, Andorra is smooth under clothing and gives a great shape! We adore the new colour for fall, Lagoon. A rich deep teal that is so pretty and on-trend!

The full cup is in sizes FF-GG 28-40, H-HH 30-40 and J  32-40.

So says the Goddess website! We have loved watching this brand expand to include a wide range of styles and sizes, and now, they introduce a brand new style to their range that we are thrilled to offer!

New from Goddess is Kayla. Look at this saucy minx! A fantastic full cup, it is also available in some sizes as a soft cup, if that is your preference.

This design is the same fit as another Goddess range you might be familiar with named Kiera, however Kiera is only available in black or putty. Kayla is their fun cousin! That Boob Show tells the intimate story of one girl’s dilemma with size, sexiness, and our most personal places. The story is influenced heavily by the beautiful interior of secrets from your sister. Using a variety of colorful characters this piece will engage audiences in an arousing and poignant story that attempts to answer: does size really matter?

Pictured above is Loretta by Panache. Loretta is available up to a K cup and is a fantastic every day option, but the lace detailing makes it so pretty, you won’t want to slip a shirt on over top. (Maybe that’s because you don’t have air conditioning, but we’ll blame the beauty of this bra instead.)

The embroidery is light and flat, meaning it won’t show through clothing. The straps have a delicate appearance, and the shape is quite plunging, allowing for a revealing cleavage.
